About us
The FAM-Team accomplishes research in the area of Applied Mechanics
and instructs students of engineering sciences in the basics of
mechanics and the methods of structural analysis.
Research
FAM's special fields of interest are:
Education
The courses of FAM are devoted to competent Education of basic knowledge of
Engineering Mechanics, such as Statics, Strength of Materials,
Kinematics and Kinetics. In the advanced study period the courses
offered cover e.g. structural analysis, Finite-Element-method,
biomechanics as well as service strength.
Technology
Transfer and industrial partners
The FAM is partner of the industry especially in the field of
strength optimised and fracture-save design of existing products and
new development of future products.
